Location
Chamonix is Located in the
French Alps, in the Haute Savoie region. It is a 1 hour drive from Geneva airport
on the Autoroute Blanche.
The property is located on the outskirts of Chamonix, just a
20 minute walk or 5 minute car ride to the centre. It is in Les Gaillands area,
overlooking Lac des Gaillands, close to the Gaillands climbing walls and near Les Pelerins
train station.

Local
- Aiguille du Midi One
of the highest cable cars in the world, taking you to 3842m in two
sections, giving a unique view over Mont Blanc and the alpine panorama.
- Mer de Glace -
The Montenvers rack and pinion train takes you to the Mer de Glace - one of
Europes longest glaciers, here you can visit the ice grotto carved into the
glacier, an exhibition of alpine flora and the crystal gallery
- Les Bossons Glacier - A chair
lift takes you close to a viewing platform near the foot of the glacier
- Cascades du Dard - A
waterfall at 1233m, which can be reached by a well signposted 1 hour hike up
through wooded mountainside, or a short stroll from the Mont Blanc tunnel
car park. small restaurant close to the viewing point.
- Mont Blanc Tunnel - This takes
you to the Aosta valley and the Italian town of Courmayer
- Mont Blanc Express- This
train takes you along the valley and runs from St Gervais to Martigny

- St. Gervais - As a spa resort, St-Gervais has
attracted tourists since 1806. Spa treatments are available in the hot
springs.
- Mont Blanc Tramway The
highest rack railway in France offers a glimpse of the different alpine
levels and the splendours of the Mont Blanc massif.
- Annecy Located 80km from Chamonix and a popular
tourist destination, has the Alps in the background and the lake in the
foreground. The mediaeval town centre is built around a 14th century chateau
dissected by small canals and streams running out of Lake Annecy
- Geneva and Lac Leman Geneva is a town with
International flair, housing the European headquarters of the UN, and home
of the Red Cross.
- Courmayeur In Italy, is accessed
through the Mont Blanc tunnel, popular with skiers.
- Evian Famed for its springs. It is
possible to visit the factory where the water is bottled and sent around the
world
- Martigny Is a Gallic -Roman town, and
houses the internationally renowned Pierre, Gianadd Foundation and art
gallery.
